Mail Forwarding

Office 365

General Information

Email forwarding allows you to route incoming mail to another e-mail address, and set rules for how that mail is received. This guide will walk you through the steps for configuring email forwarding in Outlook desktop client, and the Outlook web app.

Getting Started

1. Login to Office 365 and click Outlook.

2. Click the gear icon in the upper right-hand of your screen.

3. At the bottom of the Settings panel, select View all Outlook settings - Click Mail.

4. Click Forwarding.

5. Under the "Forwarding" heading, select Enable Forwarding.

6. Type the email address where you wish to forward your mail.

Recommended: Select "Keep a copy of all forwarded messages"

Note: if you do not select this, nothing sent to your email account will be saved in your inbox

7. Select Save.

Warning!!! Some email senders do not allow their mail to be forwarded.  You will need the "keep copy "in your mailbox to get the message.

8. Alternatively, you may configure mail forwarding from the Outlook Web App settings page: https://outlook.office365.com/mail/options/mail/forwarding
